A Magazine for Black Women’s Connection and Collective Power
Voices Unbound is a trilingual digital platform led by the Voice of Black Tunisian Women. We are reclaiming the narrative by centering the lived experiences, cultural contributions, and political visions of Black women in Tunisia and the broader MENA region.
« This is about more than visibility; it is about connection, authorship, and power. »
Why Now?
Black women in North Africa are frequently erased from public discourse or confined to narratives of victimhood. Voices Unbound breaks this silence by:
- Defining ourselves on our own terms.
- Fostering collective memory and cultural resistance.
- Creating a mirror for future generations of Black girls to see themselves as leaders and creators.
Our Vision
Voices Unbound is more than a digital magazine; it is a strategic space for connection, authorship, and power. Our vision is to transform the landscape of North African media by centering the lived experiences and political aspirations of Black women, moving beyond limited narratives of victimhood to celebrate our roles as thinkers, leaders, and creators. By publishing original work in Arabic, French, and English, we aim to bridge diverse communities and foster transnational solidarity. Ultimately, we are building a sustainable ecosystem for Black feminist storytelling that honors our collective memory and ensures future generations see their identities reflected with dignity and strength.
